The District Collector, Chengalpattu vide Proceedings Rc.No.8218/Mines/2020, dated.09.12.2020 has constituted Chengalpattu District Mineral Foundation Trust.

Activities of DMFT / PMKKKY

1. Receive, maintain, manage, release and utilize the funds accrued. 

2. Plan, identify, design and undertake suitable welfare and developmental projects, following due procedure. 

3. Monitor and coordinate with various executing agencies at field level for successful implementation of projects taken up under DMFT. 

4. Ensure convergence with ongoing/existing schemes/projects of State and Central Government. 

5. Identify and promote innovative solutions. 

6. Ensure regular and swift redressal of grievances. 

7. Coordinate with different State level and District level agencies and departments to ensure the timely and efficiently implementation of the projects. 

8. Any other work entrusted.

 

Aim Of DMFT

Implementation of various welfare and developmental projects in mining affected areas of the district.

Minimizing/mitigating the adverse impacts, during and after mining, on the environment, health and socio-economic status of the people in mining areas of the District.

Ensuring long term sustainable livelihood for the affected people in mining areas.
